TOPSE is a tool to measure parenting self-efficacy developed by the Centre for Research in Primary and Community Care at the University of Hertfordshire. See www.topse.org.uk for more details.
At Parent Gym we are firmly committed to measuring the impact of what we do. We have been independently evaluated by a number of Academic institutions including most recently the Faculty of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. This research project was a three-month mixed-methods study which evaluated the changes in parenting and child behaviour after parents had been through the Parent Gym programme. The research also explored parents’ expectations and the related and unanticipated outcomes of attending the programme. Full versions of the qualitative and quantitative reports can be downloaded here http://www.parentgym.com/history
We are currently collaborating with the University of Warwick as part of the evaluation of the Government CAN Parent Pilot.
